We were born four days apart. We always remembered that. Friends in Scouts at the same time – from Cubs to Eagles, and all honors and awards in between. Always bright, fair, and considerate. A true honor to have as a friend in my early life. Wimachtendienk.

My husband, Larry Flagg, went to school with Bob. He is still talking of what a wonderful person that he was. He will be greatly missed. I lived in Indy when Bob did. He worked for American States Ins. also – I believe.

I shared a “room” (a 20″ shipping container) with Bob for 5 months, December ’90-April ’91, in Daharan, Saudi Arabia. This was before, during, and after Desert Storm. Bob also worked a desk 14-16 hours/day in the 22nd Support Command operations center where I was a lead. My best recollection of Bob is that he was unflappable, calm and cool, just rolling with the flow, making it happen day by day, whatever came through the tent flap. He was a great officer and a super soldier. May he rest in peace.
